We are ECSTATIC to announce that we will finally be playing live again! In fact, in October we will finally be in the same country for the first time since we said goodbye to each other in Japan back in January 2020. (These shows were originally scheduled for May 2020 until everything turned weird.)
Our funky bassist Pete Shand has made this 90-minute compilation of his favourite NMS tunes to play and/or listen to. Please listen/like/follow/share and help keep the dream alive until we figure out how, when and where we can actually convene to perform as a band again!
On sale tomorrow, Jan 9th at 10am Central Time, are our two annual second-weekend-of-Jazzfest night time shows at the House of Blues. Friday’s is an early show: doors 8pm, opener Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal will start around 8:30pm, and our set will be wrapped up by 11:30pm. Don’t miss Josh and his band - they are superb, and it’s a real treat to have them on the bill. BUY FRIDAY TICKETS HERE
On Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) doors will open at 12:30am and we will play two sets, starting as close to 1am as possible, depending on how long it takes the venue to get you all through the doors. Last year we went till 4:15am. This show usually sells out. BUY SATURDAY TICKETS HERE
For both shows we are very happy to be joined by vocalist Lamar Williams Jr. and our amazing horn section: Mike Olmos on trumpet and Jason Mingledorff on tenor saxophone.

Pleased to announce we will be back in Colorado in January to play Vail, Steamboat, Aspen, Telluride, Winter Park and Nederland. See our tour page for details.
Tonight in Denver, Colorado we will be launching an exhibition of photographs of the band by celebrated music photographers Michael Weintrob, Dave Vann, Josh Timmermans, Jim Mimna and Jason Melino. After tonight’s special event at Meadowlark Kitchen the exhibit will move to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom where we play this Friday and Saturday night. All the framed photos signed by the band will be available to bid on via an online silent auction which opens today at 5pm MST (7pm EST, midnight UK) and closes at midnight Saturday (2am EST, 7am Sunday UK). All profits will go to Eddie’s Payback charity (501c3) raising money for youth experiencing homelessness.

Our UK label partner King Underground has just released a tasty double vinyl LP of our 2008 album Plug & Play featuring brand new artwork and a bonus remix by JD73. 150 copies have been pressed on limited-edition gold vinyl. Album & T-shirt bundles also available via Bandcamp here.
Teaser trailer for our live-in-studio follow up to 2016’s Nashville Session album - this one was recorded in June 2018 at the same studio - Welcome To 1979 - and features existing NMS originals whose arrangements have evolved on stage since they were originally recorded. Plus a banging cover of John Cameron’s KPM classic Afro Metropolis. The LP comes with a free download card which includes two additional tracks - Flimsy and Six Underground - that are on the CD version but didn’t fit onto the vinyl.
