Then we'll be headed to Lousiville for a show at Headliner's Music Hall on 5/31. Now we've heard My Morning Jacket is playing that night, so if you must go, join us after. Then it's onto Newport, KY at Southgate House for our first time. Then we'll head to Knoxville, TN (FREE Show), Smilefest and Falls Church, VA before we hit Michael Arnone's Crawfish fest with the one and only Art Neville (of The Meters!) We'll be celebrating Eddie's 40th birthday on a much needed day off in NYC then on to Asbury Park, NJ. We'll then have our first play at World Cafe Live in Philly, PA, come get funky with us and make it great. If you're in the Northern VA area we'll be at a Free outdoor festival at Washington & Lee College. We've recently ADDED shows in Savannah, GA on May 1st and Memphis, TN on May 5th. These shows conclude with our first ever TWO-night headlining run at House of Blues New Orleans, which is sure to be over the top and have you all dancing till dawn. Check out all dates here.

Heading to Salt Lake City tonight 3/10 then off to CO for 5 shows (and some skiing), SXSW in Austin, TX then 2 nights in San Francisco at The Indpendent. Our final night of tour will be hosted by Sebastopol Film Festival with a screening of Coals to Newcastle before the show at the Hopmonk on 3/20. Goodbye Spain, hello USA!

The Spain tour, which ended in style in Madrid on Feb 13th, was a blast. Thanks to everyone who made it possible, especially Eneida Fever, David Elejalde, Marcos Flores and Joshua Bogen. We are now gearing up to return to the USA for 3 weeks, starting next Tuesday in Jackson, WY and ending on March 20th at the Sebastopol Documentary Festival. For everything in between have a look at our tour page, but I doubt we'll be seeing many oranges on trees for a while, and I think Pete will be keeping his mighty arms covered up. (x Simon)

Spain Update

Gigs going very well so far here in Spain. We are into phase two, heading into the final weekend via Gíjón, Vitoria, Barcelona and Madrid. Don't miss us, coz it could be another whole year before we make it back to Spain, and we might not even still be alive then! (thanks to our friend Warren Dyer for the photo, taken on Saturday night in Granada.)

Once we wrap up our February Spain tour we will return to the US and head west for a spring tour starting in Jackson, WY at Town Square Tavern. This will be our first return to the west since the release of "Masterology." The tour will zig zag through some of the bands favorite territories and the west’s hottest spots. Distilling the band's widescreen sonic vision into a massively impressive package, it's a monumental testament to The NMS' seminal body of work. Masterology is available in both compact disc and LP versions. The CD features 19 tracks drawn from the quartet's history, while the double-LP gatefold edition-pressed on high-definition vinyl-contains 20 tracks. In any format, it's a killer celebration of The New Mastersounds' international funk uprising! Also available is the 7in single with two unreleased tracks "So Many Pies" and "Frisbee." Both available now at Sundazed Music. Masterology and the 7 in will also be available at shows coming up. Here we are at the end of our sold-out show at the Brooklyn Bowl. After a single UK gig at Band on the Wall in Manchester on Dec 18th, we will be back in USA on Dec 29th for an official Umphrey's McGee after-party at The Metro, Chicago. We'll ring in the New Year at The Music Farm in Charleston, SC. For the NYE show we'll have a limited amount of early bird tix on sale from Friday 11/19 for $15. (tix go up to $25 after those sell out.) All tickets include a champagne toast at midnight, party favors and a serious funk dance throwdown. We have also crafted an exclusive VIP package for people who want to take the night up a notch. VIP packages will be $50 and include a special viewing section (with its own bathroom, might we add?), a custom laminate and a commemorative poster. See our Facebook page for more info.

The Road To Bear Creek and Beyond

The beginning of our tour has begun with a smashing success. We just wrapped up a screening of "Coals To Newcastle" and a gig with Heavy Pets. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the trailer for the film. We're playing in Tampa, FL tomorrow at Crowbar with Heavy Pets. Then continuing on the road to Bear Creek Festival where we'll be through Sunday 11/14. From there we head back north hitting a few notable spots like Baltimore, Boston and wrapping up the tour for TWO nights at Brooklyn Bowl in NYC. If you're in the NYC make sure to come out to the hottest venue in Brooklyn for some bowling, funk and good food (from what we hear!). The photo above is from our dear friend Casey Flanigan.
